Kristine Beaupré (Thrive Chair)
Board member since September 2011.
Kristine is the Chief Financial Officer for The Pioneer Group Inc., a Burlington based family enterprise with entrepreneurial ventures across Ontario. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner and has over 25 years of financial management experience.

George Bakker (Thrive Vice Chair)
Board member since June 2007.
George is a marketing and business development consultant in Burlington. He has operated his own advertising agency in the region for over twenty five years. In addition, he spent six years as Marketing Director for a locally-owned chain of pharmacies recently sold to Rexall. Current responsibilities include ongoing project work for retail pharmacy and home health care divisions, a local pain management and dependency clinic and numerous commercial clients. His background and experience affirm his strength in creative/branding development and strategic marketing & business planning skills.

It is through the skills and dedication of all involved in the organization and through applying our highly successful programs and processes that participants are able to move forward with their lives. Monique Hoadley (Thrive Treasurer)
Board member since September 2014.
Monique is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Certified General Accountant. She is a senior finance leader with over 20 years of experience enabling business growth and profitability across the private sector.

Sheila Penney, MSW, RSW (Thrive Secretary)
Board member since September 2013.
Sheila has a Masters degree in Social Work and is a manager with The Children's Aid Society of Hamilton, where she has worked in various positions over the past twenty years.
"Work in the field of child welfare causes one to pause and appreciate the strength and resiliency in children and families and the importance of strong working partnerships. Thrive has been an amazing partner in the healing process for so many children and families."
David Hoy (Thrive Past Chair)
Board member since June 2009.
David is the Manager of Social Work Services at the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. As such he is actively involved in in promotion of mental health and wellbeing of children and youth in Hamilton.
"Thrive provides a critical service to children, youth and families in our community who have experienced very difficult circumstances. It is an honour to work with such a dedicated and exceptional group of individuals committed to supporting our most vulnerable children."
Dave Dunbar (Thrive Director)
Board member since September 2015.
Dave is the current Detective Sergeant in charge of the Child Abuse Unit and Crimes Against Seniors within the Hamilton Police Service. His office is responsible for investigating all reported incidents of child (and senior) abuse, neglect and maltreatment.
Dave has been a police officer for 28 years and has supervised in a variety of investigative roles and specialized units created specifically to respond to issues of violence and the victimization of women, children and seniors.

Brenda Hamilton (Thrive Director)
Board member since December 2014.
Brenda is currently serving as an elementary school principal with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board. She is in her 16th year as a school administrator and 37th year as an educator.
"In my many years of experience building relationships among home, school and parish for the sake of children, I am privileged to serve on the board of Thrive to continue to support children and their families to reach their fullest potential and achieve their goals".
Carol Pearce (Thrive Director)
Board member since September 2007.
Carol is a retired Principal with the HWCDSB. She has spent over 40 years dedicated to advocating for children to let them know they are valued and loved so that they can reach their full potential.

David Shea (Thrive Director)
Board Member since September 2014.
David Shea is the Director, Public Relations and Administration at the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Hamilton, a child protection agency that provides services to the Catholic population of Hamilton. David has spent his entire 27 year career in the not-for-profit/charitable sector in the areas of fund development, communications and client services.
